Welsh gets the Verb Blitz treatment!

Learners of Welsh now have the chance to drill those tricky verb forms, with the release of Welsh Verb Blitz for Android!

Combining reference and drill tools, Welsh Verb Blitz is a great way to memorise some of the key periphrastic and declined forms of over 80 colloquial Welsh verbs. Users can even switch between North and South Wales varieties, as there are some key differences between the two – for instance, the North’s preference for o (‘he’) instead of e.

The verbs in the app, as always, represent some of the most commonly used words in the Welsh language, making Welsh Verb Blitz a great vocabulary builder / consolidator too.

Flummoxed by Scottish Gaelic verbs? Now there’s an easy way to break them down, with the arrival of Scottish Gaelic Verb Blitz for Android from Geoglot!

Containing over 100 Gaelic verbs, the app focuses on three key tenses: present, past and future. Students can browse and learn through the reference section with its clear, concise verb tables, or drill their conjugation skills in the activities familiar to other users of Geoglot’s popular Verb Blitz apps:

Infinitive Quiz: test yourself of the basic meanings of verbs!
Conj Quiz: Can you match the English with the correct Gaelic translation?
Snap: Does the Gaelic sentence match the English translation or not?
Gapfill: Complete the missing word in each Gaelic sentence.

The verb bank represents a set of very frequent, everyday words in Gaelic, so the app doubles as a great vocabulary builder as well as grammar tool.

Spanish Verb Blitz maxed out on verbs!

GeoGlot’s popular app for Spanish learners, Spanish Verb Blitz, has been maxed out with a huge update to its verb bank.

The app now contains over 250 verbs, with whole new classes of verb so you can practise:

Tricky stem-changing verbs like costar
Reflexive verbs like levantarse
Impersonal verbs like llover and nevar
Irksome special cases like -cer/-cir verbs

The update makes the app even more valuable as a reference tool, and of course, all the drill games are playable with the whole bank too.

We’re very excited to announce the addition of another language to our range, as Portuguese receives the Geoglot Verb Blitz treatment in our latest release for Android.

Featuring both regular and irregular delensions, Portuguese Verb Blitz is a great way to practise your grammar and expand your core Portuguese vocabulary. As well as providing a handy reference for scores of commonly used verbs, the interactive activities put your knowledge through its paces, testing meaning and morphology to help cement fluency.

Hot on the heels of its Russian, Icelandic, French and Spanish siblings, German Verb Blitz is now available on Google Play for students of German aiming to improve their conjugation skills on an Android device.

German Verb Blitz is a free app (supported by ads), containing over a hundred fully conjugated German verbs. As with the other Verb Blitz apps, this great reference tool is backed up by a series of interactive games, which drill meanings, conjugations and translation skills based around the verb bank.
